What are support and resistance zones?

Some price areas act like a floor or a ceiling. Whenever price reaches them, it tends to turn around. A zone below price where falls keep stopping is called support. A zone above price where rallies keep stalling is called resistance. Notice the word zone: these are areas, not exact lines. Price rarely respects a level down to the cent.

For education only. Nothing here is financial advice, and trading involves risk.
