Where the orders sit

resting stops (liquidity)

Just below obvious lows and above obvious highs sit clusters of stop-loss orders, traders all protecting themselves at the same spots. That pool of resting orders is called liquidity. Big players need liquidity to fill large positions, so price is often drawn toward these levels like a magnet.
